The Basement Among the Clouds
“The Cloud Effect” a Douglas L. Gibson Ent. Exclusive Design Idea
The basement project before you has been transformed from an unfinished storage space to a bar, gym, poker lounge, half bathroom, and cozy family room seating area.
We refer to this as The Basement Among the Clouds because of the design of its ceiling. Designed to encompass plumbing, electrical, and hvac components previously installed, Douglas L. Gibson Ent. was tasked with matching the room’s elegance while maximizing its space. “The Cloud Effect”, as we have called it, is the resulting design.
Fully functional, “The Cloud Effect” features three levels, precisely measured for maximum ceiling height. Where there are low clearances, we have placed sitting areas and a stacked stone, granite countertops, and a full wet bar including refrigeration and plumbing.

Follow the Gravel-Paved Road
Our Client needed to replace their long, rotting, railroad tie step system with a winding pathway for their daughter’s wheelchair to navigate while preserving the serene views of their lake home.
Using the existing boulders, Douglas L. Gibson Enterprises achieved this picturesque switchback path gently delivering you to their dockside deck.

Special needs – Walk-in Shower & Bathroom Areas with an integrated lift system including Radiant Heated floors & walls for greater comfort and ergonomic ease for caregivers & bathing user.
